If service, healing, and impact matter deeply to you, we should talk.
RRUFF is inviting mission-driven leaders to join our Board of Directors and help support the mental health of veterans and first responders through life-changing service dog training.
Our board recently transitioned from a working board to a governance-focused board, with members playing a vital role in providing strategic leadership, strengthening fundraising efforts, and increasing community visibility. Board members serve two-year renewable terms and meet every other month in person at our Rocklin office. Each member serves on at least one committee, Finance, Fundraising, Executive, or Governance, and provides hands-on support at key events a few times per year.
Board members are responsible for fiduciary oversight and long-term sustainability, actively supporting fundraising through giving, outreach, sponsorships, and donor engagement. They act as ambassadors for RRUFF by expanding brand awareness, leveraging personal and professional networks, and representing the organization in the community. Members partner closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to ensure the organization remains strong, mission-focused, and impactful.
We are seeking individuals with a genuine heart for veterans, first responders, mental health, and service dog, people who are engaged, collaborative, and excited to help RRUFF grow. Experience in fundraising, marketing, finance, law, nonprofit leadership, or community engagement is valued, but passion, integrity, and follow-through matter most.
Serving on the RRUFF Board is an opportunity to stand behind those who serve and help build a future rooted in healing, connection, and meaningful impact.
